Flavored Coffee Has a Reputation Problem
Ask most specialty coffee drinkers about flavored coffee and they'll wince. The reputation is deserved — most flavored coffees start with low-grade beans and bury them under artificial syrups, producing a cup that tastes more like a candle than a coffee.
We made ours differently.
"If you've ever wanted the comfort of vanilla without giving up the integrity of the coffee — this is exactly that."
It Starts With Specialty-Grade Coffee
Our French Vanilla begins with specialty-grade single-origin coffee — the same caliber of beans we use across our entire lineup. The base coffee is carefully selected for a clean, balanced profile with enough natural sweetness to complement the vanilla without fighting it.
Most flavored coffees don't tell you where the coffee comes from. We do, because it matters.
How the Flavor Is Added
Each batch is roasted in small quantities, then flavored while the beans are still warm using high-quality natural flavoring oils — not syrups, not artificial compounds. The warm bean surface allows the oils to absorb evenly and deeply, so the vanilla character is woven into the cup rather than sitting on top of it.
The result is a flavored coffee that feels integrated and refined — the vanilla unfolds gradually through a velvety finish rather than hitting you all at once.
What It Tastes Like
Smooth. Creamy. Comforting. Our medium roast with natural vanilla delivers:
- Creamy Vanilla — warm, soft, and naturally sweet
- Silky Sweetness — a gentle sweetness that doesn't need sugar
- Smooth Cocoa — a subtle chocolate undertone that grounds the cup
It's indulgent without being overwhelming — the coffee character is still present, still refined, just wrapped in something warmer.
Who This Coffee Is For
French Vanilla is perfect if you love a comforting, approachable cup with natural sweetness — or if you're easing someone you love into specialty coffee. It's also a genuinely elegant choice for guests, gifting, or any morning that calls for something a little more indulgent.
Best Brewing Methods
Drip Coffee (Recommended)
Drip is the ideal everyday method for French Vanilla. The consistent extraction brings out the creamy vanilla character evenly across the whole cup. Standard medium grind, 1:16 ratio, and you're set.
French Press
French press amplifies the body and creaminess beautifully. Coarse grind, 4-minute steep, and the vanilla wraps around the full-immersion richness for an especially indulgent result.
Espresso
As espresso, French Vanilla becomes a naturally sweet, aromatic shot — exceptional as the base for a vanilla latte without any added syrup. Let the coffee do the work.
Pour Over
A cleaner, more delicate expression of the vanilla character. The cocoa undertone comes through more clearly here, making for a nuanced and surprisingly sophisticated cup.
Pairings
Butter cookies, vanilla pastries, caramel desserts, or milk chocolate are natural companions. This is also an exceptional coffee to serve after dinner — it needs nothing added to feel complete.
Small-Batch. Roasted to Order.
Every bag is roasted and flavored in small quantities to ensure the vanilla oils are fresh, vivid, and at peak expression when they reach you. This isn't shelf coffee — it's made to be experienced.
