Colombia Single-Origin: Bright, Velvety, and Built for Pour Over

The Story Behind Our Colombia

Colombia is one of the world's most celebrated coffee origins — and for good reason. Our single-origin comes from smallholder farmers in Medellín, the heart of the Antioquia region, where high elevations, rich volcanic loam soil, and a near-perfect mountain climate create conditions that consistently produce exceptional coffee.

Grown at 1,300–1,500 meters above sea level, the coffee cherries mature slowly, developing a refined sweetness and layered complexity that defines this origin's best cups.

"Bright. Velvety. Refined. If you love a fruit-forward cup that rewards a slow morning pour over — this is your coffee."

How It's Processed: Fully Washed

Our Colombia is fully washed and dried in solar dryers — a method that protects the coffee from unpredictable mountain rainfall while preserving the clean, bright character the origin is known for.

Full washing removes the fruit before drying, which produces clarity in the cup: you taste the coffee's terroir directly, without the heavier fruit-forward notes of natural or honey-processed coffees. The result is a refined, transparent cup with a beautiful balance of brightness and sweetness.

What It Tastes Like

Our medium roast brings out:

  • Dried Orange — a lively citrus brightness that opens the cup
  • Ripe Berry — soft, round fruit sweetness in the mid-palate
  • Chocolate — a rich, grounding finish that ties it all together

The body is velvety and smooth, with a lively brightness that keeps each sip expressive without being sharp or acidic.

Who This Coffee Is For

If you're drawn to coffees with clarity and brightness over heaviness — coffees that feel alive in the cup — Colombia is made for you. It's approachable enough for everyday drinking, refined enough to slow down for on a weekend morning.

Best Brewing Methods

Pour Over (Recommended)

Pour over is where this coffee truly shines. The clarity of the fully washed process translates beautifully through a V60 or Chemex — the dried orange brightness and berry sweetness come through with remarkable precision. Use a medium-fine grind, bloom for 45 seconds, and pour in slow, steady spirals over 3–4 minutes total.

Drip Coffee

An excellent everyday option. A standard drip machine with a medium grind and 1:16 ratio delivers a consistently balanced, approachable cup — bright in the morning, comforting throughout the day.

French Press

French press adds body and richness to the Colombia's natural brightness. Use a coarse grind, steep for 4 minutes, and press slowly for a fuller, more enveloping version of the cup.

Espresso

Pulls cleanly as espresso with a citrus-forward shot and chocolate finish. Works especially well as the base for milk drinks — the berry and orange notes cut through beautifully in a latte or cortado.

Pairings

This coffee pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, berry pastries, citrus desserts, or almond biscotti. The orange and chocolate tasting notes make it a natural companion to anything with a citrus or fruit element.

Small-Batch. Roasted to Order.

Every bag of our Colombia is roasted in small quantities to preserve peak clarity, aroma, and sweetness. You're not buying shelf stock — you're getting coffee at its best.
